During the past 20 years Beal Benefits has created completely customizable and scalable online benefit enrollment UNIX software, as well as a live-hosted database system, to meet our clients’ needs. All customization and programming is done at Beal’s expense, with no charge to our customers. The software is specifically designed and highly customized for our clients, and continually evolves to meet their benefit needs. We employ two level 5 programmers who manage this software full-time. It is a priority to Beal Benefits that our customers have access to all of their valuable benefit information in one place, and we take pride in accommodating any changes necessary to meet that ongoing goal.

Seamless Website Integration

  • Posting –
    All benefit summaries, contributions, forms, notifications, and plan booklets are posted online for employees to review
  • Web Reports –
    Clients can login and view the following reports, with benefit information in real time. All reports are HIPAA compliant and can be run for either the entire group or by specific location(s):
  • Eligibility for Insurance Pending
  • Time is Critical
  • Employees Enrolled
  • Eligibility Expired
  • Employees Who Have Waived Benefits

Enrollment

  • Maintenance Files –
    Clients can electronically upload their employees’ information directly into our system
  • Court Ordered Enrollments –
    Manual updates to the system for court ordered enrollments
  • Electronic File Feeds –
    Feeds are in place for medical, dental and vision benefits. We also act as the interface between the carriers and our programmers in the setup and maintenance of the file feeds
  • ID Numbers –
    All medical ID numbers are uploaded into our system so employees can utilize benefits before receiving their permanent ID cards

24/7 Customer Service

  • Web Questions –
    Employees can submit benefit questions online and receive a response within one business day
  • Call Center –
    Our customer service representatives are available for questions regarding enrollment, benefits, eligibility and claims
  • Claims Research –
    Customer service representatives will research claim issues with the carrier and give feedback directly to the employee
  • Claims Reimbursement Submission –
    Our customer service representatives will submit claims for reimbursement on an employee’s behalf
  • Out-of-Network Reimbursement –
    Beal Benefits will submit claims for out-of-network provider services
  • Spanish –
    Our office is bilingual and assists with questions and enrollments over the phone as well as posting available benefit information in English and Spanish online
  • Emergency Line –
    For after-hours emergencies, a dedicated customer service representative is available to help employees over the phone

COBRA Administration

  • COBRA –
    All notifications, accounting, premium collection, remittance and administration
  • Open Enrollment Notifications –
    Notices are sent out to all participants for any plan or rate changes for Open Enrollment
  • COBRA Exceptions –
    Accounting of clients’ payments towards COBRA participants’ premiums as part of severance packages

Additional Administration

  • Corporate Office Requests –
    Manual updates for any employee upon request
  • Customized Color Brochures –
    Our customized tri-fold brochures are created for both Open Enrollment and newly hired employees, and can be printed and mailed upon request
  • Payroll File Population –
    Electronic files that populate payroll data and for the group, allowing them to upload our information file into their payroll system
  • New Hire Forms –
    New hire employment applications and tax forms posted and securely submitted directly to Human Resources

Reports

  • Daily Change Report –
    Shows all activity and changes for employees during the previous day
  • Eligibility Expired Report –
    Indicates which employees have missed their opportunity to enroll for coverage and need to sign a waiver form
  • Eligibility Pending Report –
    Indicates which employees are eligible to enroll and have not yet enrolled or waived for benefits
  • Time is Critical Report –
    Shows any employees who are approaching the deadline to enroll for or waive coverage
  • Hires and Terminations Reports –
    Lists all hires or terminations in the previous week or month
